I'm a straightforward guy who likes to see how things are built and how they work. I'm always looking for what makes sense in the real world, especially when it comes to my home.
That's a good point, Clara. When I was looking into smart thermostats, I kept seeing mentions of Zigbee and Z-Wave. It seems like a lot of these systems rely on specific frequencies, and if you have a lot of devices, they can step on each other's toes. Did you have to buy a new hub or anything to get your thermostat to play nice with your other smart home gear?
I've been thinking about upgrading my HVAC system, maybe even adding some smart controls. Has anyone here tackled a project like that? How long did the installation usually take?
